2025 Tengshi D9 exposure, intelligent driving/power improvement, equipped with electronic shield.

The 2025 Tengshi D9 will be officially launched on December 26th. The new car has been declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology before, and a lot of related information has also been exposed on the Internet, such as improving power performance, installing laser radar, changing electronic gear shift, adding one-button zero-gravity function to the second row seats, etc. Compared with the 2024 model, it has a full-dimensional upgrade. Let’s learn about it with the car brother.

First of all, in terms of appearance, the general design of the front face remains unchanged. The large inverted trapezoidal grille occupies more than half of the front of the car, supplemented by the scaly chrome-plated middle net or the straight waterfall chrome-plated middle net of the signboard, and the exaggerated chrome-plated decorative package is added around it to form a strong visual impact. It is worth mentioning that the mixed version of the scale net has been changed into a new "L" style, which is more fresh.

The headlight group is still directly connected to the grille. The lower longitudinal air intake is decorated with black air curtain and horizontal chrome plating, and the front lip is blackened, showing different style characteristics. The watchtower lidar installed on the roof has become a new feature, and it is expected to have better intelligent driving performance.

The shape of the side and tail of the car body is basically unchanged, the straight roof transition, the special D-pillar chrome decoration and the slightly raised slender waistline are all consistent with the current models. In the rear part, the roof spoiler is equipped with a high-position brake light, and the penetrating taillight group is equipped with an arrow-shaped special light source. The tail box line is relatively straight, and the rear surround is decorated with penetrating silver decorative strips to enhance the visual width of the tail.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the 25 Tengshi D9 DM are 5250/1960/1900mm and the wheelbase is 3110mm, which is 20mm lower than that of the current models, while the other data remain unchanged. Double electric side sliding doors and double skylights will not fall, and the body color matching and wheels have also been updated.

As for the interior, the new car will be equipped with a new electronic gear shifting mechanism, showing the latest family characteristics. The central channel will be adjusted synchronously, and the original electronic gear handle will disappear, but a small number of physical buttons will still be retained. Others such as floating central control panel, full LCD instrument panel and flat-bottomed steering wheel will not be absent.

The rear seats are still two independent seats, and a one-button zero-gravity mode is added to support seat ventilation/heating/massage. Comfort configurations such as car refrigerator, two back-mounted entertainment screens and folding small tables will not be absent. In addition, the third row of seats in the new car is expected to increase the electric adjustment function, and the sound system may be replaced by the Divare brand.

In terms of power, the 25 Tengshi D9 DM will use BYD’s fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, equipped with 1.5T plug-in hybrid power, with a maximum engine power of 115kW. The two-wheel drive version is equipped with a front motor with a maximum power of 200kW, and the four-wheel drive version is equipped with a front and rear dual motor with a maximum power of 200kW+45kW. Matching it is a battery pack with a capacity of 39.938kWh, and the pure electric cruising range is 155km and 145km respectively. (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology data)

According to the sales ranking data of automobile platform, Tengshi D9 sold 5,795 vehicles in November, which lagged behind Lantu dreamer PHEV, and the latter’s sales growth effect was immediate after being equipped with Huawei’s advanced intelligent driving. This shows that consumers’ acceptance of advanced intelligent driving is getting higher and higher, and its influence weight in car purchase decision has risen to a new height, even exceeding the influence of automobile brand and price. This time, the installation of laser radar on the 2025 Tengshi D9 is obviously aware of this market trend, and we will wait and see how it will perform in the future.
